“how much time do you want for your progress?”
I’ve really struggled to share anything on this blog for a while because I have these same thoughts on loop:
Free Palestine. Free Congo. Free Sudan. Free West Papua.
People are being murdered for land, others are being enslaved for resources.
We are watching humanity at its worst, in real time.
I have zero faith in any government to do what is just if justice means eradicating the structures that white supremacy have bred and nurtured.
I am embarrassed that it has taken major catastrophe for me to pay attention to the genocide in Palestine.
The same British government that handed over Palestinian land, as if it were theirs to give, is the same government that is calling Free-Palestine marches, “hate marches”.
Why is liberation so controversial? It’s crazy that colonisation is so normal that liberation for all of us feels like a risk.
Decolonisation isn’t peaceful. You know how they say it’s the victors that write history, I’m beginning to think that whoever said “violence is not the answer” was also a victor. Historically, the emancipation of any oppressed group never came about through discussion alone.
WHITE SUPREMAMCY HAS TO DIE.
Nothing born out of or nurtured by white supremacy will ever be fruitful. Nothing born out of believing that one group is inherently better than another with ever be fruitful.
Cynicism is too easy, but it isn’t cynicism that is going to get us to the other side of these systems, it’s love. And I don’t say that as a wishy-washy cop out. All of the constructed systems in this western world operate by binding one group for the success of another. The opposite of this would be for all to be boundless. Love knows no bounds.
Why does love feel like a ridiculous notion?
